Living Room

Esme reclined on the couch in the center of the living room, scanning over the pages of a thick book. She smiled softly in the silence, waiting for Melinoe to come over. The chat with her mother and brother had gone well, her mom just about shooting through the roof with excitement when Esme showed her the ring. Now she just wanted a nice quiet evening with her, nothing special just spending time together.

Melinoe made her way to Esme's apartment, on her bike of course, and parked out front before heading to the door and knocking. Now that Melinoe thought about it...She'd never been to Esme's home before. Esme was always coming over to her house; well it's more like she was always dragging Esme back to her house.

The sudden knock brought Esme's head up and she smiled while marking her place in her book. Setting it down she quickly made her way to the door, flinging it open and giving Mel a tight hug.
"Hello love! Well, welcome to my home."
She smiled and brought Mel inside, shutting the door afterward.

Melinoe laughed lightly when she was immediately embraced and she wrapped her own arms around Esme. When brought into the room Melinoe looked around with a soft smile on her face as she took everything in. "Your home is lovely."

"Thank you."
She placed a kiss on Mel's cheek before going down the steps to the couch and sitting back down.
"I thought a calming day to ourselves would be nice, wouldn't you agree?"
Placing the book on the coffee table she patted the spot next to her with a smile. Esme did want to discuss something with Mel that she'd been thinking about, especially with their wedding coming up within the next few months.

"Of course, love. Anything with you is nice." Melinoe smiled softly at Esme before walking over to the spot that was patted. Carefully she sat down beside the other woman and immediately reached for her hand. It was true Melinoe was still in heat, but still she more craved the contact at this point than anything sexual, and so she just went for Esme's hand.

When Mel sat down and took Esme's hand the other female moved and placed her head in Mel's lap. She smiled and laced their fingers together, happy to have a quiet moment with her. It was a moment before she looked up at Mel.
"Hey, I wanted to know if we could talk about a couple of things."

Melinoe blinked slightly when Esme's head went into her lap. She shifted just slightly but settled after, smiling as she felt Esme's fingers lace with her own. Reaching with her free hand Melinoe started to stroke Esme's hair gently. "Of course. We can talk about anything.'

"Well, with getting married and all it would make all sense to live with each other right? So...would you move in with me?"
Esme gave a cheesy grin that made even her laugh as she softly brushed Mel's cheek. Then she frowned a little.
"The other thing is a little embarrassing..."

Melinoe blinked slightly in surprise at Esme's words. "Huh...? Move in with you?" She seemed in thought for a moment, though it wasn't actually thinking about pros and cons of moving in with Esme, she loved the idea. "Maybe we should integrate Chompers and your cat first...?" She was worried about the pets. Once more Melinoe blinked. "Don't be embarrassed." Melinoe leaned down to press her lips gently to Esme's.

Esme returned the kiss with a smile, thinking it would be mart to introduce the two and make sure Chompers knew her cat was family not food.
"That might be smart, I don't want him eating her."
Esme inhaled and prepared for her next question.
"Well...I was just wondering...Mel would you ever consider having a family with me?"

Melinoe let out a small and somewhat motherly sigh. "I could definitely see him doing something like that...That dummy." Esme's next question threw Melinoe off guard some though. Her face slowly turned red at the question, and though she hesitated she didn't really think about that either. "O-of course."

When Mel turned bright red she thought for a moment that she had asked too soon. But then she answered and a smile spread over Esme's face. Propping herself up on the couch with her elbows she kissed Mel softly.
"I love you so much Melinoe."

Melinoe shifted into the kiss some. "I love you too, Esmeralda." Her face slowly turned somewhat red again and she shifted away from Esme this time and looked away, "But please...Remember that it's still...that time."

Esme smiled, lying back down in Mel's lap as she looked over her lover's red face.
"I know it is Mel."
Her fingers softly caressed Mel's cheek, feeling how warm it had gotten. She really did get worked up when she was in heat.

Melinoe shifted slightly like she had the first time Esme laid in her lap. She tilted her head back against the couch and looked up at the ceiling as she calmed herself down by allowing her fingers to run through Esme's hair. "So...Out of curiosity. When do you want to start this family?"

Her eyes fell shut as she felt fingers run through her hair. She opened one to look at Mel as she asked when they would begin their family.
"Well, I'd like it to be after our wedding, but after that I'm not really set on a date. I just want to make sure we're ready first of all."

"After the wedding is understandable." Melinoe's fingers continued to push through Esme's hair effortlessly. "And as for being ready...I'm ready when you are." A somewhat soft noise came from Melinoe to show she was rather pleased with how they were at this moment.

Esme smiled and brushed the side of Mel's face again. No matter what Mel said she would always think she was beautiful.
"Thank you Mel, you have no idea how happy you make me."
She placed a kiss on the back of Mel's hand with a smile. It was here Esme suddenly felt something jump onto the couch, and she knew who it was. Looking up a growing Bengal cat crawled towards the two of them.
"Ah there's my girl! Hey Maya."
She leaned forward and picked up the cat to start petting her and scratching her ears.

"I wouldn't say that. I think I've got a pretty good clue on how happy I make you...Since you make me that happy as well." Melinoe nearly jumped when she felt something jump onto the couch. She would have had she not remembered that Esme had a cat. She watched as her lover picked the cat up and began petting it. Slowly Melinoe reached her own hand out to allow the cat to sniff her before petting her. "Hello, Maya."

The young Bengal sniffed at Mel's hand before rubbing her head under Mel's palm.
"She loves everybody."
The cat purred as Mel petted her and Esme scratched at her ears. This was really soothing, just lying here with Mel and the cat.

"Way to make me feel so not special." Melinoe teased Esme for saying the cat loved everyone as she continued to pet Maya. It was rather odd to Melinoe. She'd never once have pictured herself on a couch that wasn't even her own home; a woman laid in her lap, and a cat on the woman. The woman that she loved.

The crusnik laughed when Mel teased her about not being special. She lightly tapped the bridge of her lover's nose.
"Oh don't be ridiculous of course you're special Mel. Maya is just friendly that's all."
She teased her back, the cat jumping onto the back of the couch to curl into a ball.

Melinoe got a somewhat cocky grin on her face as Esme tapped her nose and she leaned down after the cat had jumped away. "Oh...And what makes me so special? The fact that I've got your love, right?" She purred the words some.
